Its lean, growing team works across public and private cloud environments to help customers modernize and protect critical infrastructure. This is an opportunity to contribute to a customer-focused technology organization operating at the intersection of cloud engineering, security, and digital transformation.

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join the Public Cloud team to optimize, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems for internal and external customers. You will support customer cloud environments, help maintain workload uptime and service-level commitments, and build repeatable infrastructure automation using Terraform. The role combines production cloud engineering, container platforms, customer collaboration, Tier 2-3 support, and quarterly R&D projects that advance the company's cloud offerings.

What you'll do

  • Manage Kubernetes workloads, including deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling, and Helm-based packaging.
  • Containerize applications and onboard them to the orchestration platform.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform as the primary standard.
  • Author reusable Terraform modules and manage state, workspaces, and remote backends for repeatable deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistency.
  • Implement security best practices in AWS environments.
  • Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements using outputs from tools such as Trusted Advisor and Security Hub.
  • Set up and configure AWS Identity and Access Management for users and services.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
  • Implement scaling strategies for dynamic workloads.
  • Automate the deployment of applications and workloads for internal and external customer systems.
  • Execute new cloud initiatives and quarterly R&D projects.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to understand project requirements and provide scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of applications with AWS environments.
  • Support customer cloud environments and help maintain customer workload uptime and service-level commitments.
  • Provide Tier 2-3 support to the CloudOps team as needed outside regular project and R&D activities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AWS architectures, Terraform modules, Kubernetes manifests, processes, and procedures.
  • Document configuration and changes made to AWS environments.
  • Track time thoroughly and accurately.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Assist as needed with customer-facing events or sales activities.

Must-have
