About the role
This role is for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer who will develop and evolve data solutions in a complex, international environment. You will work end to end across the Data Engineering lifecycle, from ingestion and integration through modeling, transformation, orchestration and data delivery. The role contributes technically to the squad and involves direct collaboration with technical and business teams, as well as local and global stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines on GCP.
- Work directly on data ingestion, transformation, modeling, orchestration and delivery.
- Develop and optimize solutions using BigQuery.
- Build orchestration processes using Cloud Composer/Airflow.
- Develop solutions using Python and SQL.
- Integrate data from different systems and sources, such as SAP, Salesforce, APIs and databases.
- Take part in defining data models and turn the modeling into technical implementation and code.
- Build integration solutions using batch processing, APIs and/or events/streaming.
- Work on the harmonization, quality and consolidation of data from different sources.
- Diagnose and solve technical issues related to pipelines, integrations, processing, performance and the GCP environment.
- Evaluate solutions in terms of performance, scalability, cost and maintainability.
- Interact directly with technical and business teams and with local and global stakeholders.
- Contribute technically to the squad and support other professionals when needed.
Must-have
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with GCP.
- Solid, proven experience as a hands-on Data Engineer.
- Experience building end-to-end data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion and transformation.
- Consistent experience with data modeling.
- Experience integrating different systems, sources and databases.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems autonomously.
- Ability to work autonomously in a high-demand environment.
- Advanced English, with the ability to take part in and lead technical discussions with global teams.
- Advanced Spanish for professional interaction with Latin American teams.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
