About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, profitable cybersecurity company helping financial institutions detect and prevent fraud and cybercrime before it reaches customers.

The company specializes in fraud and threat intelligence , monitoring criminal ecosystems and underground marketplaces to uncover how stolen data, fraud schemes, and cyber threats are being developed and coordinated. By turning this intelligence into actionable insights, the company helps banks and other financial institutions intervene earlier and reduce financial losses.

The company has built a strong reputation in a highly specialized market and has helped financial institutions identify and mitigate hundreds of millions of dollars in potential fraud losses .

Growth & Opportunity

The company is both profitable and backed by strategic growth investment , with plans to expand its product portfolio, strengthen its go-to-market organization, grow internationally, and pursue additional strategic opportunities.

This role joins a newly established marketing function at an exciting stage of growth. The marketing team is building the creative, content, and demand-generation foundation that will support the company's next phase.

For a creative professional, this is an opportunity to help shape the visual identity of a sophisticated cybersecurity brand while translating a fascinating and complex world of fraud, threat actors, and underground ecosystems into compelling visual stories.

The company operates across the U.S. and Costa Rica , with a distributed, collaborative team and a strong culture of autonomy and creative ownership.

The Role

Our subject matter is a world most people never see: criminal marketplaces with their own economies, invite-only forums where reputations are currency, threat actors with tradecraft and territories. If you love fantasy — world-building, factions, maps of places that don’t exist — you already understand the assignment. The underground is a real ecosystem, and we need a designer who can build the visual world that makes it legible: dark, edgy, and authoritative, because that’s the ecosystem we operate in and the buyers we serve. We’re looking for a strategic designer to own our visual identity end to end — not just execute it. Our intelligence team surfaces complex narratives every week, and translating them into unique visuals is the difference between another vendor deck and work a fraud leader remembers. Don’t judge us by our current digital presence; we’ve grown successfully with what you see. Now we’re actively investing in our brand and growing our marketing team, and this role is a critical hire. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work daily with our Content Strategist (your partner in narrative and creative direction) and our Sr. Growth Marketing Strategist (your partner in campaigns that need great design, fast). You’ll define what the company looks like — then build the system that lets it ship every day.

Core Responsibilities

● Visual Identity Ownership: Own the visual identity for the brand — across campaigns, the newly renovated website, and everything in between. You’ll define the aesthetic (dark, edgy, confident — never gimmicky), evolve it deliberately, and act as the final word on how the company shows up visually.

● Brand Library & Design Framework: Build the brand library and design framework from the ground up: illustration style, iconography, typography-in-use, templates, and reusable assets (we run on HubSpot) that let the whole marketing team ship on-brand work without you touching every file. You’ll know when to invest in developing the larger brand — and when to execute quickly so work keeps moving.

● Illustration & World-Building: Create original illustration that turns complex fraud and dark-web narratives into visuals people actually understand — and want to look at. This is the heart of the role: bring a fantasy-lover’s eye for atmosphere, character, and world-building to an ecosystem that genuinely has all three.

● Motion & Animation: Bring the world to life with motion: animation for video content, webinar and campaign assets, and motion graphics for social. We’re not looking for a film studio — we’re looking for someone who can make the brand move.

● Full-Funnel Campaign Production: Design the graphics that fuel the demand engine — email, social, paid, and web — at the volume and pace multi-touch campaigns demand. You’ll partner with our Sr. Growth Marketing Strategist on campaign creative and with our Content Strategist on the assets behind it (reports, gated content, webinars).

● Conferences & Events: Design our physical presence: booth graphics, banners, print, and swag for national fraud and banking conferences. When a fraud leader walks the expo floor, ours should be the booth they cross the aisle for.

Required Qualifications

● Fluency in business English

● Bachelors in marketing, design, art, photography or other relevant area

● B2B Marketing Training: 5+ years designing for B2B marketing — SaaS or data products — with a portfolio that’s shipped for real B2B brands, not just concepts. You understand funnels, conversion, and why the CTA can’t be whispering.

● Financial & Fraud Buyer Experience: Strong preference for a designer who has created for a financial services, fraud, or cybersecurity buyer — you know how to be edgy for an audience that answers to regulators and boards.

● Illustration Strength: Demonstrated original illustration skills and a genuine love of fantasy and visual world-building. Show us a world you’ve built — we don’t care if it was for a client or for yourself.

● Brand Systems Builder: Proven experience building a brand library and design framework — guidelines, templates, and asset systems that other people successfully used. You think in systems, not one-off files.

● Strategic Range: The judgment to translate complex narratives into clear, unique visuals — and to know when a project needs brand-level investment versus fast, clean execution on a campaign timeline.

● Production Speed & Quality: Web-ready production quality across the formats the engine actually uses — email, social, paid, web, and events — delivered at demand-gen pace without the quality slipping.

● Motion Skills: Working animation and motion design ability (e.g., After Effects or equivalent) for video and social — enough to make static concepts move convincingly.
